By Paul Antonopoulos

Activists in the Nineveh Province who have had their areas liberated from ISIS have begun replacing the terrorist groups graffitied propaganda with painted murals.

Wamid Matta, one of the participants in the volunteer campaign, said the campaign targets the walls of schools and public areas bearing ISIS logos, and seeks to “restore life, delight and hope” to the area after they had been liberated from the extremist group, IraqiNews reported.

Iraqi forces have fully liberated the eastern section of Mosul city and await instructions to cross the Tigris river to launch an offensive against ISIS in western Mosul.
